Chart Storage Equipment

Binders

Compact has designed and developed a special binder to hold up to 22 medication charts. This sturdy binder contains heavy-duty clear plastic wallets, to accommodate the individual charts. The clear wallets allow them to lie flat when being used.

They also protect the covers of the charts, maintaining these legal documents to the necessary standard. These charts are handled 4-6 times a day over 6 months, so can get scruffy. But this protection means that they will be presentable, should they be needed in a coronial inquiry. (This has happened!)

Inside the binder’s front cover is a list for recording the relevant resident names and room numbers and a list of staff names and specimen signatures.

These binders make it so convenient to transport the medication charts on rounds and ensure medication is signed for at point of admin (Best practice requirement).

Trays and Indexes

Metal trays provide an alternative means of storage to the chart binder. Charts are filed upright within the tray, and "A to Z" index dividers assist quick retrieval and refiling of charts during medication rounds.

Protective chart sleeves (Ref no LTMCSLEEVE) should be used with this option.

Compact CHART SLEEVES

Metal trays can be placed on the medication trolley, and held in place with Velcro.
